If the clause didn't exist, I could pay off my 250K Lamborghini loan, get the title and then ask for the money back because it was a "mistake". For similar reasons, items at Sherrif's auctions can't be returned to the original owner even if they win the original court case that led to the auction.

I mean why not? If you say it’s a mistake then you give back the title. Doesn’t seem that weird honestly.
