Hah I had the opposite effect of getting to deal with a rude gatekeeper when I needed to create more than the I itial 5 instances they limit you to.
I moved to lightsail. It has problems but at least AWS support treats you like a human.

I've had a different experience in regards of their communication - they've been nice to answer my questions in a timely fashion, for example about the instance amount, while running just a few servers
