> secular society based on Christian values

Oddly the Christian deity is mentioned exactly zero times in the Constitution.

I stated that the United States is based on Christian values. Not that the United States is a Christian state.

Do you value separation of state and religious authority? Women's rights? Minority rights? Human dignity? Equality before the law? Sanctity of life? Individual moral responsibility? Monogamous marriage? The objective study of history? Fair trial? Witnesses at trial? Tolerance of alternative viewpoints?

Those are all Christian values. For what it's worth, I'm not Christian.

I wonder how long it will take them to link the dots to join their businesses.

They _could_ have a fix in 45 days apparently. I’m skeptical; and the cynic in me would say that they are hoping people will forget about it in the midst of the next autogenerated crisis or distraction.

If I’m reading the article correctly, imagery over Iran is available to clients; but that of U.S. assets is not. Seemingly this is explained by:

> Planet also holds lucrative contracts selling overhead imagery to the US military and US government intelligence agencies.

Nice company you got there. ‘Be a shame if you lost those U.S. government contracts.

Tourists? Shouldn’t they be working?

the whole discussion started from there: they have no vacay whatsoever while Europe is off every second week celebrating some pagan season

Weren’t they able to purchase two Gulfstream G700’s for Ms. Noem’s use during the last shutdown? I think they could find the money if they wanted to.

Her philanthropic work and contributions focus on racial and LGBTQ+ equality, HBCUs, affordable housing, etc… Real “harmful” stuff there… /s

Except that’s not the only reason to participate in such a boycott. Perhaps they simply do not want to participate in one voluntary node of participation in the surveillance capitalism network.

Given that dementia can result from various pathological processes, I wonder what it is about dementia that leads you to conclude that these forms of cognitive stimulation cannot possibly reduce one’s risk. I agree that the title is misleading, though, in large part because it assumes causation, whereas association is about all one can say. At least both absolute and relative risk were mentioned in the write up; that’s rare to see.

The original paper is behind a firewall of course, so I cannot access it. Possibly they controlled for other measures of SES? I don’t know.
